I visited a local mall with the intention of meeting an art gallery owner when I unexpectedly encountered a peculiar wall at the entrance of a gym. The impression it made on me was oddly threatening, stirring a creative response within me that I felt compelled to express artistically.

In this image, my objective was to explore the dynamic movement and rhythm of the unusual design pattern that captivated me. As I observed similar materials and styles of anti-homeless architecture installed on sidewalks throughout the greater Los Angeles area, I couldn’t help but ponder if there was a deliberate connection between these defensive structures and the upscale gym. By delving into this artwork, I aimed to examine the intersection between urban design choices and societal dynamics.
