In my exploration of the effects of heat on objects in the state capital area, I focused my study on the newly constructed downtown public library in Austin, Texas, which was surrounded by other glass buildings. The positioning of the library in the heart of downtown created a fascinating interplay of light, with each sunrise and sunset casting reflections onto various objects in the surrounding landscape.

In this image, my aim was to visually convey the unique and captivating quality of the light created by a hot summer sunset. To create this artwork, I positioned myself within the center of the  library, allowing the indirect reflective light to envelop me from as many directions as i could. I sought to capture not only the play of light, but also the atmosphere of the library itself.
