In the initial week of the 2020 Coronavirus pandemic, I embarked on my first visit to the Beverly Hills cactus garden, where I encountered peculiar cactus trees resembling squash in their unique shape.

In this image, particularly within the “toxic-series,” my intention was to visually capture the contrasting elements of temporal panic and utopian paradise. Through the Toxic Series images, I incorporated early colored images of COVID-19 to convey the rising fear that permeated the city, profoundly altering our way of life with each passing day.
