Mountain Grove at Mount Tamalpais

Located near San Francisco, Mount Tamalpais is renowned for its diverse microclimates resulting from its proximity to the ocean, the presence of redwood forests on its eastern side, and the slopes adorned with manzanita. While hiking along the western trail leading towards the summit, I discovered that the darkest crevices between each mountain range hosted miniature forests with towering canopies and refreshing, cool breezes.

In this image, my intention was to visually capture the same awe-inspiring sensation I experienced when encountering these small forests for the first time. I employed shades of purples and blues to imbue the trees with a sense of gentle swaying, offering viewers an immersive glimpse into the enchanting atmosphere that enthralled me on that memorable day.
