Train in Seattle

On Christmas Eve, I visited Seattle while the city was still in lockdown due to the pandemic. That first night, a light snow left a thin layer of ice. Taking a city train toward downtown and the Olympic Sculpture Park, I witnessed the sunrise breaking through the clouds, casting a crystal-like glow over the city.

In this image, I sought to capture the reflective quality of frozen water as it evaporated, casting a shimmering effect over the downtown buildings.
