This image offers a direct view of downtown Los Angeles as seen from the Griffith Observatory. The vibrant landscape on that particular bright day created the illusion of an expansive ocean of houses enveloping the downtown Los Angeles (DTLA) area. The presence of smog added a hazy quality, resembling a dusty bubble lingering above the city’s skyline.
