Paths of the Fall

During the Thanksgiving break, I took advantage of the opportunity to explore the beauty of nature by embarking on several early morning hikes along the scenic trails in Austin. As an artist, I was particularly drawn to capturing the enchanting transformation of the leaves as they gracefully changed colors, a subject I had not previously painted.

In this image, my intention was to convey the various stages of the changing leaves as they gently fell along the picturesque Barton Creek trail in Austin, Texas. Through my brushstrokes, I sought to depict the vibrant hues and intricate details of the foliage, capturing the essence of this natural phenomenon. I am delighted to share that this painting was not only submitted but also awarded first place in the “All Color” painting competition organized by the Contemporary Arts Gallery Online.
