I embarked on a memorable hike with some friends, traversing from Stinson Beach to the east peak of Mount Tamalpais, a mere half-hour away from San Francisco. As we ascended to the elevation of 2400ft (731m), the panoramic view before us revealed the Bay Area sprawled beneath, resembling a bustling ant colony. The powerful gusts of wind at this lofty altitude challenged our balance, yet the breathtaking vistas in every direction made it all worthwhile.

In this image, my intention was to capture the essence of the wind as it swept through the landscape during the enchanting moments of sunset. I aimed to emphasize the captivating interplay of colors between the descending sun and the shadowed trees below. The figure depicted in the artwork, while never revealing their face, evokes memories of a significant moment in my life. It transports me back to a year earlier when I stood atop the Greystone Mansion in Los Angeles, overlooking the cityscape. It was on that very day that I made the decision to embark on a new path, symbolized by my commitment to grow out my hair, and to persevere in my chosen career, no matter the challenges that lay ahead.
