Lost in the Supermarket

At the school where I taught, an annual dodgeball tournament was part of the homecoming celebrations. Before the event, I wanted to try a meal from the newly opened Whole Foods nearby. While searching for a spot to sit, I stumbled upon an upstairs seating area that spanned the entire front of the store. As I reached the top, I was struck by the sight: a warehouse-like space with exposed beams, lighting tubes, and steel framework, cleverly hidden behind the inviting facade of the lower level.

In this image, I wanted to convey a sense of greed intertwined with the contrast between industrial design and a welcoming, consumer-friendly atmosphere.
