Heat Dome

On the way to Amarillo, I spent a few days in Dallas, Texas, and walked to the nearby Dallas Museum of Art. After exploring the city in the summer heat, I was looking for a place to cool down and take in the arts district from a quieter perspective.

In this image, I sought to visually capture the heat dome hovering above the Dallas Arts District. The work reflects the physical intensity of that day—the weight of the sun, the distortion of heat, and the way the city’s architecture seemed to shimmer beneath the atmosphere.
